Russell Milton-Session Bass

Russell graduated from the Musicians Institute London (now The London Music School) in 1990.  He cut his teeth in the London club scene with residences at Barumba with Pete Smith's band Wise up and with Neil Cowley and Fraser Dodd's band FREIL at Subterranean & Cargo.

​

He moved into Indie rock by joining the band Denim after recording 'Denim on Ice'.  He joined Ian Mcnabb's band to record Ian's classic album 'Merseybeast' and toured that project around Europe.

 

By the late 90's he was touring live with jazz funk band Down to the Bone.  He also joined Fragile State and then Akasha, recording bass on 3 of their albums and still gigging with them to this day.

 

Another long term project is the band Go Kart Mozart fronted by Lawrence (ex frontman for Felt & Denim)  having played bass on 4 of their albums, the latest being 'Go karts mini mart' which is due for release this summer.

 

Other recording projects this year have included, Anita lipnicka, Hassan Bin Rashid, Bela Takes Chase, Heavenly Spheres  and Marc Almond.

In 2021 Russell working in collaboration with Creation X Recording as a session Bass player for up and coming artists.

​

TV work includes, Good Morning Atlanta & News Night with Brothermandude Plus TV shows in Portugal, Poland, America & UK. 

​

Radio work includes: BBC Radio 1 with Mark Radcliffe , Radio 6 with Mark Riley Plus many others.

​

Festivals Include: Glastonbury, Big Chill, Womad, Plus festivals in Czech Republic, Belgum, France, Germany, Japan, South Africa, Norway & Ireland.
